Lofi brings to mind a 1920s and 1930s recording of a voice and ukulele. Searched through Kara’s catalog for a uke and voice song to remix as a 1930s period lofi audio.
Reportedly, “The first stereo recordings, on disks, had been made in the 1930s, but were never issued commercially.” While stereo records were not widely adopted until the 1950s, left Kara stereo groove intact. Reportedly, “The first reverb effects, introduced in the 1930s, were created by playing recordings through loudspeakers in reverberating spaces and recording the sound.” While Kara’s reverb is beyond 1930s technology, left Kara’s reverb intact. Izotope’s freeware Vinyl plugin was used set to 1930s 78 rpm record with a minor amount mechanical and electrical noise, dust, warp and wear.
