Discovered Panu’s song when Loveshadow recently remix it. Immediately put the song on song’s to work list. Also, made a note to reuse Loveshadow’s very cool “little darling” backup vocal placement idea.

When it was time remix, found a good number of ccMixter folk-rock-country-blues contributors providing “sitting on porch, passing jug” style jams.

Started with Panu’s voice, a couple country guitars and a bass in the key of D to outline the song. Used Copperhead’s G Drums for the beat except on the bridge where a country stick and kick drum groove is used.

Next three ccMixter harmonica players were added: Whitewolf on the intro and outro lead, Bluemillenium on the bridge lead, and subdes2 exchanging riffs with guitar on the outro. These players were also sampled to provide additional harmonica notes in the intro and outro.

Whitewolf’s banjo was sparsely added to the intro and outro for color.

For the “little darling” backup vocals, found Scomber singing “little darling” and Admiral singing “darling.” Repitched a clip of Panu singing “little” to complete Admiral Bob’s phrase. Basic three note major chord harmony.
