It occured to me that I could use four haiku about the natural world for the Adaptation Remix event:

last summer’s grapevine tendril
dead on the wire
still holding on








winter daffodil
leaden sky on shoulders
can’t lift its head













working overtime
winter ants build
a volcano










insignificant lichen
one day you will eat
this rock
