This was the title poem in my first ever poetry collection over 9 years ago!
sparrow in an airport. it’s a kind of freedom apparently having all you want more than enough space for one small sparrow crumbs from McDonalds controlled climate yet you keep hitting glass that invisible force separates you and sky flapping frustration caged in a monument to flight sparrow in an airport in NEW POETS TEN Friendly Street/Wakefield Press, march 2005 ISBN 1 86254 670 3
