[I try to imagine life through the eyes of a xanthophobic - someone with a phobia of the color yellow….]

Yellow Peril / Xanthophobia

bleaching my teeth daily i yearn
for the grey day

afraid of the stripe down my spine
a cowardy-custard

disgusted by my own bile
poke out the eyes
of fried eggs

see summer suns as pus
drink copiously to keep my stream
of urine clear

send the canary down the adit

we don’t want it back…

[It’s a bizarre poem. How about some bizarre music?!)
