It all started with a little piano tune that came out of rolling some virtual D12s. The exact melody that came out was unusable, but could be worked with to create the song you now have in front of you.

Certain aspects of the mix could have used a little more attention, but there wasn’t really a lot of time left for it. Long story short, getting the arrangement right took longer than usual. Now, ideally, I’d have plenty of time for both, but if I have to prioritize, I’d say that a song is more harmed from a rushed arrangement than a rushed mix.

Actually, you know what? I’m gonna back myself up a bit here. I’ve done more than a hundred of these livestreams and have come out with a mostly finished original track each time. I think I can say this with some degree of authority. A rushed arrangement hurts a song more than a rushed mix, and I know this from being mindful of my own mistakes.
