Back in the saddle after a head cold took me out of commission last weekend.
The whole thing was built on what felt to me like a fairly jazzy chord progression. I had some pretty clear expectations of where this was gonna go, but as the track went on, I just couldn’t shake the grunge. ( watch the VOD) According to the DAW, the song was in 6/8, but to my ears, it sounds like 3/4. I experimented with some trickier rhythms early on, but had to back off when even I couldn’t find the 1 while listening.
