Slum Kid (Muleque de Periferia) - Acappela
- Backing vocals by Dani Depizol
——————————— It’s a nice history. A friend of mine was working on a book for her degree project in Journalism. The book was about people who work on the streets of Sao Paulo, my city, and one of the characters was Alvacir Ferro. He’s a peculiar guy, who spends his days composing rap lyrics , in the afternoons, goes to the streets to work as franelero. Even being quite poor - and having his wife complaining every day - he doesn’t give up keeping his composing work up. I got very impressed with his history and asked him to come home and record a voice. Then I created this version for the music. But it’d be great to see other people creating remixes for him. He’s not very familiar with the “click” and I - in a very noob way - didn’t pay attention to it. So I had to chop it a lot and create 2 tracks for the voice. ——————— The song is about a poor kid who works on the streets, but never gives up. Will try to write the lyrics down here soon.
