No frills vocal. Bit of a throwaway. Nearly didn’t upload this but anyway here it is.

To the untrained eye there’s nothing to see
I just look just like any other man that looks like me
You wouldn’t look twice madam, even on the sly
You wouldn’t know me from Adam with the untrained eye

To the untrained eye I’m just the guy in the store
I don’t look much different from the boy next door
I could be trying to decide if I live or die
But I’m just a part of the crowd to the untrained eye

Well if you’re walking around with your eyes on your phone
Or you’re all about your clothes
Non-stop yakking while you’re window shopping
You’re never going to see what’s under your nose

Well they sent me to the city, gave me an errand to run
I just want to get in and out, I want to get it done
Don’t want to be a knight errant because I’m far too shy
But that wouldn’t be apparent to the untrained eye

I try to keep on trucking, try to follow the scent
Though my feet are stuck in quick-drying cement
When I wake up in the morning, first thing I do is I cry
But I’m fine according to the untrained eye

It’s hard to start swimming upstream
With your heart tied behind your back
And it’s hard to start living the dream
When you’re an insomniac

I’m turning into a blue streak from chasing her
Turning the other cheek till my head’s a blur
Now I’m alone in an empty room playing ‘I Spy’
And I still guess wrong, thanks to my untrained eye
