I’ve tried to mix this so it sounds like something you could just sit down and perform with a small band - provided, of course, that Javolenus and unreal dm were in the band.

My money’s on you, my money’s on you
You’re the one my money’s on, your coin is ringing true
Put your money on me, put your money on me
I’m the best bet you’ll get, you won’t get a guarantee

I came in with no face, I’ll be leaving no trace
With you I know I’d throw the right numbers, everything would fall into place
Got to hold it in, not jump out of my skin
But now it seems I spend my whole life waiting for that one big win

There’s a split in the toe of my worn-out shoe
Couldn’t even afford to get married if I wanted to
The thin curtain sways as the light decays
My word it would be good if I could hit paydirt one of these days

Just out of town they pulled the old world down
It smelled of old money, it sold for half a crown
There’s a wailing wall where the line is drawn
The steel mill is a shopping mall, all the iron men are gone

I’ve been good as gold but I’m feeling old
Is there still a bluebell wood? Still time to come in from the cold?
I try to stay in play but I can’t see how
If your love was going to come my way, it would have come my way by now

My money’s on you, my money’s on you
You’re the one my money’s on, your coin is ringing true
My purse is trash, I’m spent out in a flash
I’ve been broke for so long it’s a joke but I’ve just come into some cash
