It is not easy to find a soulmate especially in a world where love is more of a commodity than a blessing. To be at peace with another soul is a rarity and yet often when we find a great love we find ourselves throwing it aside as we race on for greater treasure.

We were bound by indiscretion we were haunted by the days
When you took me to the carnival and said lets start to play
And with your wicked simple offer I was lost for ever more
We were the new adventurers of that we both were sure

And on the streets of the big city we were lost amongst the crowd
With your dazzling smile and sparkle I was forever proud
But its the way of crazy lovers to ignore the telling signs
And to run straight into heartache like it was the healing kind

And you said that if the mask slips there’s another in the draw
Its a little worn and tattered been worn many times before
And I know that theres a reasoning in everything you do

Some seek the truth in whisky while others bear the pain
And the strongest start to crumble but they’d do it all again
