The Harajuka area of Tokyo gives its name to the wide range of extreme styles Japanese teenagers wear. They take their influences from both modern and old styles fusing them together into a new fashion.

The main street is on the Yamonoto subway line and is full of people displaying their personal and individual styles. They come from all backgrounds, rich and poor.

As the whaling season approached Haruto knew it would soon be time to put the bright outlandish clothes away and put on the fishermans garb. His family had been whalers for generations and with quotas agreed it was time to set sail.
