i stacked them up i stacked them oh so high
you’d swear these pancakes reached the sky
i filled them up with everything i could

and sitting on the plate they look divine
it helps to know that they are mine
the butter’s melting into the bacon and it is good

just looking at it makes me want to cry
but not a tear escapes my eye
i have a job to do and i will not concede

so i aproach the pancakes with intent
knowing that i can not relent
there’s one hungry mouth to feed

i know it can’t be good for me
but i can not stop now
there is no way to justify
ignoring pancakes a mile high

these pancakes are delicious
and i become aware
that i will never have another quite as good as this
this knowledge is depressing
and i am now obsessing
memory of this will haunt me to my dying day

but i must carry on
this can’t be all i’m worth
there must be something else for me to sink my life into

perhaps i could just die
perhaps i don’t see why
perhaps there isn’t anything that’s left for me to do

but there’s no way that i am going to take this lying down
i won’t let deliciousness get to me
