Drink My Blood

The inspiration for this writing came from two sources. This winter my partner and I lost 4 people we knew in a period of 2 weeks. I also stumbled across this Marcus Aurelius quote:
Think of yourself as dead. You have lived your life. Now, take what’s left and live it properly. What doesn’t transmit light creates its own darkness. ― Marcus Aurelius, Meditations The lyric is as follows: Drink my blood Whilst you can For deaths rasp Takes me Drink my veins Or fly too far Hold me not in between Rock on pebble on sand Fly egg on brain matter Eternity not in time
