Key: C major
Tempo: 120 bpm *** I was born in 1960, in black & white, into a world without pianos. Well OK, there was a piano at school but they kept it locked shut. And anyway, we boys were supposed to worship football not music. And so I grew up without a formal musical education and even now, much to the amusement of my classically-trained girlfriend, can’t play the piano or sight-read music. When I make MIDI music, I usually hand-score everything in the editor. But today I got my hands on a cheap plastic keyboard with MIDI output. I plugged it into my DAW and booted up a soft-synth called “Rapture”, which has a nice “retro analog” expansion pack called “Mu3eum”. I straightaway improvised this piece without having a clue what I was doing. This is the “Fairlight” preset, but I’ll add a couple of other presets as Downloads.
