Sappho (I Lie Alone)

I put this song up before as a rough demo. KungFu then worked some magic on it with his “Berkeley Mix”. Since then the song has stayed with me and I was itching to redo my original parts. And so I’m posting an extended version here and now. I’ve added some extra guitar, a synth pad, some ethnic percussion (via iDrum) and some Irish Whistle (I’m not a whistle player and simply tried to busk along on an unfamiliar instrument). I’ll add the stems. And I’ve asked KungFu if he can “take the track home” and expand the sample pool with some cool additions. I kinda see the song as “having legs” and once KungFu has added some quality touches I’m hoping some great remixes will emerge. The lyrics are by Ancient Greek poetess Sappho and are about 2,500 years old:
The silver moon is set The Pleiades are gone Half the night is spent And yet I lie alone
