My Name is Sam Merciers. I am currently working on my doctorate in music composition at Michigan State University. As part of my research there, I hope to conduct an ethnographic study of ccMixter users in order to learn more about motivations for joining and individual feelings on the platform. The goal of this brief survey (link below) is to make initial contact with ccMixter users willing to take part in an interview and/or further communications regarding the topic.
