I’m looking for a decent vocoder plugin at the moment, and have been disappointed with most the stuff i’ve found. I have a Kaoss Pad 3, which has vocoders on it, but controlling the pitch is extremely difficult to do with any accuracy. I remember i used to have quite a good plugin, which for some reason i can’t seem to find, but it didn’t support midi input for pitch control either.

Can anyone reccomend any good software or hardware for this for some vocal processing?

Ohhh just to clarify too, i’m preferably looking for RTAS plugins for use with Pro Tools 8, but VST is fine too because i can just lump it into Cubase 5 :)

Native Instrument’s Vokator comes to mind. I have never used it extensively, but NI usually stands for quality stuff. I don’t even know if it can be bought anymore. It was part of the Komplete 2 bundle I bought years ago.

Thanks a lot ill have a look for it. I was considering buying a micro korg just for the vocoder, but since i have no use for a standalone keyboard synth since im not a keys player and do most things by midi i decided against it!

EDIT - For anyone looking for a similar thing, The plugin has been discontinued. I’ll keep looking, otherwise there are torrents.

There is a vst called Vocodex that comes with Fl. I think you can buy the plugin off the image line website though. It works really well
