The bell sounds are a nice way to open it up, and makes me think I’m walking through the tunnel at Detroit airport. And listening to it, I was kind of in dread (the way it so often happens) that this was just a prelude to a less interesting and noisier main part of the mix.

To my delight, you kept the bells and odd noises coming, with the voice surrealishly floating above it all.

I agree - love the Detroit airport for this reason, btw - but I love what you’ve done here!!!

I agree with Panu. You’ve got some magic here! Everything sits well within the mix. Especially liking the vocal editing. Great track!

I’ve never been to the Detroit airport, but given the references above, I want to walk down that tunnel — perhaps it would help me get free.

Meanwhile, I have been saying this a lot lately — but this might be one of my favorite of your tracks. What can I say? Once again I am impressed by your work.

I’ve been to the Detroit airport. Lived the first half of my life about an hour from there. But that was quite a while ago and whatever they’re referencing must have been installed since then. Maybe I should google it, see what they’re talking about.

When I come to listen to a new Speck, I expect the unexpected and that is the only expected element of your pieces. This is so weirdly beautiful and compelling, with aural surprises that make my ears feel as if they’re jumping. Everything fits to perfection to make another outstanding Speck story. xxxx

This is the sort of thing a guy could get into playing around with if he had some spare time.

Cool, love the Kalimba. Ever seen Birdman? If you haven’t you must!
