Funny I had an allmost similiar work process with a box with a key, though it’s good to see it’s evolved in something I quite like.
What I like about it is that morgan thing you do, constantly switching between patterns. But you never loose it in some incoherent blur of sounds, it still remains one piece.
What is the thing you don’t like about it? Is it that you heard what it could have been if the computer didn’t crash? The only thing I can come up with is that it doesn’t have the same “wow!” effect most of you other songs have. But hey can’t allways produce hits…

Thanks abstract. It’s not that I don’t like it, but I can’t say that I like it either, I am just neutral with it, but I hold myself to higher standards, so being neutral with it doesn’t seem good enough to me. But I have come to accept it. It is art. Art evokes different feelings, different moods. I was thinking of what art style it was more than what music genre it fell into! That is usually how I approach my music, as art.

I know that all to well. On one that drives us to higher levels but it can also drive me mad.

Nice to read how you approach your music, in the future I’ll keep that in mind. It does explain a lot about your music and all the diffrent patterns being used

Glad you were able to save the song. I find it worthy. I’d post it. As for silent films….. I’ve been to many and they are very fun. There’s a college nearby with a Theater-Organ. It’s a complicated mechanical monstrosity. Lots of solenoids and pneumatics powering bizarre sounds, in addition to a full organ. Dig the song :)

That’s cool! I’d get some field recordings of that place if I lived near by.

I’m not sure they’d allow me, but I’ve only to ask. I’ve been there enough. Good idea…. I going to look into this. FB
