Nice one. I don’t imagine it’s easy to write something on a common theme without being cliché, but here I think you have. Sober. Inward. Moderation. Realistic expectation. These are the words that come to my mind as I listen.

Even your spoken word pieces are very musical, with rhythm and melody.
Just a part of this vignette that moves me is your reference to the satellite, which reminds me of so many nights falling asleep under the Canadian shield sky. There’s something about things that fly by so high that makes me, like you, “hope for the best.” |
