apoxode posted a huge anthology mix of a whole pile of people, but it was cohesive and funky (in a swift way.)
Original Samples
drum additions, a saw lead on the synth, an organ part, a guitar part.
Process
I slowed the original down to 100 bpm and pitched it down from G to D. Then I cut it up a bit, and played a drum part between the cuts and in the quieter parts. It is a bit of a counter beat, tugging it to 100 BPM on the 1 when it doesn't necessarily want to be.
I added the saw lead, and then filled in the holes with guitar and organ bits.
