Samples I Used
TRF If_you're_not_there_guitar was the inspiration, I doubled it and isolated the sleep_deprivation synthbass in kontakt to play other notes so it could stay together with the guitar. The sleep_deprivation drums were put into Triaz and reprogrammed. The song contains also samples from an Elron X Chile acoustic guitar from Kiss of Hope and TRF's piano from Going Home to Macon, with some notes changed in Melodyne

Process
Spectralayers separates stems, Kontakt extends to other notes, Triaz is a vst drum that can import wav and has a powerful sequencer (check the rallentando part..). Melodyne retunes polyphonic material (piano, guitar).
Other Notes
TRF spoiled us with 1st class brasses sometimes, so I stayed in the mood adding a sampled trombone. It took some time to have it play realistic with all the articulations and controller lines in Cubase.
Lyrics celebrate ccmixter's 21th anniversary, in some countries that's an age where you may finally do something more.
