Tools I Used
Ubuntu Studio for the OS.
Ardour for the mix.
Goldwave for mastering.
Samples I Used
Used uncompressed released samples.
Original Samples
None. This is just a basic mix.
Process
Files were downloaded from archive.org.
Files were imported into Ardour and mixed. I worked with the flugelhorn track slightly in Goldwave, trying to remove noise.
When finished with the mix, files were opened in Goldwave and simple mastering was done.
Other Notes
This is my first mix, so it was a lot of fun having material to play with.
The flugelhorn track was a little rough. I thought about recording a trumpet track with it or over it.
Listening to the end mix, it sounds like the flugelhorn track is clipping, so I'll fix it if I work on this song again.
