How about adding electro, techno, instrumental and classical to the radio playlists?

As a first pass I went with genres that had entries in the 100s — as of this writing there are only 17 uploads marked ‘jungle’ and 20 marked dnb. The other genres you mentioned don’t have a lot more to them so making individual links for them didn’t seem worth it.

What may work is a ‘make your own’ station kind of thing where rather than us deciding what’s worth it or not we could let users use or combine tags to make up a ‘station’

geekpoint: We all understand that this is not actual streaming radio right? ;) I couldn’t get approval to install icecast on the servers so I’m kind of faking it by emitting shuffled m3u streams… still, the reaction has been nothing but positive so I’m grateful for you guys to have requested it and have even caught myself ‘tuning in’ to the funk station and being greatly satisfied.

Thanks!

hello,

it’s not hard to make your own playlist link and bookmark that.

e.g.

http://ccmixter.org/media/s...

but as victor points out, your mileage may vary.

ps. i’d be grateful if someone could rate the remix i uploaded recently http://ccmixter.org/media/f... - all feedback welcome, since it’s my first.

On a related note, did you know you can find out how many fortminor entries there are with this?

http://ccmixter.org/media/s...

then multiply number of entries in playlist by 4/5

it’s 300 as of now…

I won’t go out and by my other Technics yet.

Actually I’d prefer a Stanton ST-90.

not sure how it’s related to radio tags but it’s 356 actually (as of this writing), based on past contests and the entry rate for this one you can expect at least another 100 before it’s done.

(look for fort_minor tag)
