Hello all. If any of you know anything at all about getting a saxophone for an elementary school beginning student could you help me out?

My twin boys have both decided they want to try the alto sax. When my daughter was little she started on the violin and we rented an instrument and then I found out I could buy the darn thing for two months payments. She’s always had a used instrument, never anything fabulous but passable for her purposes. Now I see these low end student saxes are as much as a way better violin than my now symphony orchestra playing daughter has.

I cannot bring myself to buying an instrument that costs so much more for two boys who may or may not stick with it, and I read somewhere that saxes are hard to resell.

Any guidance would be appreciated. Thank you.
