I have track I did a while back that uses a guitar sequence, that I reproduced using a sequencer, from Rodrigo and Gabriela’s Hanuman.

What are the rules for being able to post such material?

You are not permitted to post anything on ccMixter that contains copyrighted material. You must own the copyright, or have demonstrable permission of owners of source material (i.e., via CC license or a written license agreement giving you permission to use/distribute their material) to share works using such material. In addition, ccMixter is a remix site dedicated to building a sample pool of music to be “downloaded, sampled, cut up, and shared.” At this point, this means remixes posted to ccMixter should contain source material from ccMixter or one of our partner-sites so that source-artists are properly attributed via our track back feature. (Unless of course, your intention is to post such a track as a sample.)

You can learn more about this by reviewing the Terms of Use for ccMixter.

Thanks for the info. And yes, I only post completed tracks that I have done in the past for sampling.
