Hello all. I am new to music production and sample creation. I have been doing some reading but I thought maybe I could ask what you do.

I currently use Ableton Live. Anything i do I can only export in Wav or Aiff and they are both unsupported by this site. So i usually convert a .mp3 file and a .ogg. in audacity

I have found that the mp3 file there is always a click at the end but the ogg file does not have it. I read a little about it. I am wondering if there is a trick to eliminate it?

The click might be coming from the player and not actually embedded in the file.

After you make the mp3 in Audacity, do you play it in Audacity to test it?

Or do you play in it a mp3 player (like iTunes, WinAmp, etc.)?

You can even load the MP3 into Live (as a new project) and examine the file to see if the click is actually there.

If you’re still seeing it then try upgrading to the very latest LAME encoder (which I think is the default in Audacity).

BTW - for encoding to MP3 I *highly* recommend WinLAME on Windows or the command line version (LAME) for Mac/Unix. It’s clean, it’s fast and “just works”
