Low Pitch/High Speed Cassette Dub

I’ve experimented with this before, its not perfect but fun to do.

I open a track inside of a DAW and lower it by several octaves and then record this to a regular old cassette tape.

Then I re-record this back to the DAW and raise it by the same level of octaves.

This is kinda like having the cassette run at a higher speed and make the hiss somewhat less noticeable.

I guess it really comes down to the quality of the recorder, 3 head multitrack would sound pretty groovy.
