It's all relative. To the squirrel It's the stash of acorns hidden away. To us poor humans it's the vanity of the diamonds. At least for the squirrel it's food.

The piece starts with a duduk in C minor before Duane Eddy makes an appearance moving it into C major. The magical voice of Kara and her merry band of squirrels appear before making way for the boy who never grew up and who still lives in hope of finding his diamonds. With the grace of a well rosined bow a Tiger arrives to scratch the earth and the whole thing moves along before finishing with the roll of a battered zildjian.

Namu Myh Renge Ky

Used as a mantra and a sacred phrase in buddhist chants. In English, it means "Devotion to the Mystic Dharma of the Lotus Flower Sutra" or "Homage to the Sublime Dharma of the Lotus Sutra"

The whole explanation of the title is to long to put out here, but it means as much as that we all have all the things inside of us to live our life to the fullest. For a more detailed one you can see here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Namu_My%C5%8Dh%C5%8D_Renge_Ky%C5%8D

Zennboy challenged me he liked to hear some orchestral psytrance, now it is not exactly all orchestrated, but in the middle of the track i have put an orchestral break. I used his sitar as a theme for the track and toghether with SO SHA's vocals it formed the base of the track.

8 minutes, 145BPM I hope you enjoy it.

In a world filled with unrest and uncertainty, I was drawn to the simple yet uplifting mantra in Kara's track.
Apart from adding a touch of vocal processing, I chose to leave her performance largely untouched,
preserving its natural warmth and allowing the arrangement to breathe with an open, laid-back feel.

The bassline closely follows the vocal melody, which, as a bass player, was a refreshing departure
from my usual approach of building around a riff. To add a little extra ear candy,
I dipped into a wealth of sounds from an old Sony Acid Pro sample library, complemented by some of my go-to Hive and Avenger presets.

CC SUMMER FLOW:

A portion of ccmixter vitamines to help you get trough these hot summer days. My marketting advisor found it nessecary that was mentioned that no animals were harmed during the creation of this track, that it is completely gluten free, fully recycable and approved by the society of martians living on earth......in other words: You need this! and if you don't, you do! :)

Featuring:

Kara Square: Vocals and whistle (Tippety Tip Tip Tiptoe,Ba Da and Music Connects Us Promo)
Speck: Scatting (Boopboobityboopboo)
Martijn de Boer: Bass (Dub Breaks III)
Neurowaxx: Drums (Dub Drums)
Stefan Kartenberg: Harmonica and Humming (Housewares Blues)
Copperhead: Banjo (Big John Stems)
Solo's to Use: Trombone (Same Solo v01)
Javolenus: Guitar Licks (Post Truth Blues)
Dreamonizer: Other Instruments and Engineering

I started of with Martijn's bass on a looped beat and construced the bassline and then the skanks, searching for sounds i came up to Stefan's Houseware Blues which had the nice harmonica and the humming and searching along i found Copperhead's banjo. I replaced the beat by the much better beat of Neurowaxx and I wondered if there were trombone solo's on ccmixter and found Solo's to Use's trombone solo, then i went over to Kara's vocals and took snippets from two uploads, then i placed Speck's scatting, Kara's whistle and with Javo's subtile guitar licks all was completed.

The result is a nice piece of country-esque ska, specialy thanks to Martijn's driving bassline which gave the impuls to the track to be made. I was as happy as a child with a new mecano building box to fit in all the stems from the different artists and I hope you like the turn i took in the other instruments, maybe not all is 'in the chords' but it sounds nice to me. Happy summer! Feel the flow!
