Quote Fourstones : `This pell was difficult to work with .’

Would have to agree with that 100 per cent But you have done an amazing job. The pell falls into the category of excellent working vocal not to take anything away from Zae.

A few parts of it just dont seem to fit not matter what you do with them, i put it down to the double track and some bits just a touch flat.

But I love that opening sequence, gonna have to use that, and your chord changes open up a new dimension in the melody.

Top mix .

I have to admin several things here:

- your uploads totally inspired this treatment, I did WWLSD several times during production lol

- the chord prog and voicings started life as Bacharach’s ‘look of love’ but of course with the busy backing vocals’ passing tones things got mangled quickly

- I struggled mightily and allllllmost didn’t post, your review is much, much appreciated. Thanks.

The guitar line that comes in after the median point is so subtle and delightful in this one.
I think you’re wise to try to do this with such a gentle touch, because the ‘pell is so good. The soulful feel you get here is very effective.

The one thing that doesn’t work for me is the bass-ish drum. I’m not sure if it’s the way it’s syncopated or whether it’s the sound of this particular drum, but it doesn’t fit as well as everything else. The bell-like-tone keyboards are great, the guitar is grand, and the way the mix fits the vocals is superb.
This is a really pretty treatment—and frankly, I was too delighted with the sheer sound of it all to worry much about whether I was hearing the lyrics correctly.

I like very much the overall mood of this remix. I also second Gurdonarks review especially towards the bass drum.
But this little issue doesn_t take away the fact that it_s a wonderful track.

and I agree with both you, esp where it’s exposed in the first verse without a backbeat.

Victor, Don’t know if you’ll get around to reading this one, but upon further listening on my ipod (great for making cc playlists and cooking (in the kitchen and the studio)) I felt the need to come back and post some praise for this remix. IS it at all possible to suggest you might upload the backing for this? hmmm…

cool, thanks. I’m on the road for the next 2 weeks so music stuff on the site can’t happen (waits for cheering to die down…) but I’ll try to get to it after that.
