A field recording leads gently into the B-spy-movie synth keyboard, which then blends in the vocals and a bit of deep-underneath. The hints of grit mixed with the more traditional song elements work well. The bass line under the vocals work well.

The dark-synth-vibe from this song is inexplicably cheering. The mix elements work pretty well together. The use of spoken word samples to leaven up the mix helps.

I can imagine that this mix could have been “roughened up” a bit here and there to give it a bit more life, and perhaps make it more dynamic. The ambulance at the end is just right, not too over-the-top, but a nice touch.

This is a solid mix—it’s consistent, a good listen, and a good blending of elements. It’s like slicing into a pizza roll and finding that everything is consistently tasty, all the way through.

As Gurdonark said there’s a interesting cheery/dark groove here. I love it!

The cohesion of it all is impressive. The mix fits the vocals very well. And the mastering is great : the sound is very alive.

why didn’t I hear this before now? (ma fault) very cool- talked about pierce’s disease today with Talley- not so much in the Central Coast there. He called the glassy winged guy the ‘vector’ of the disease. Sounds like a song to me:)))

I’d remixed Kaer’s vocals into a song before I popped over and heard your version. I like your version very much. Was dipping and bopping my head to your song :)
