A noise soundscape sets off against the vocals. It’s an interesting intro. Then the lush, almost early-Queen-like keyboard line is a great contrast. Very pretty.

I like that gentle bass, roving along. The vocals don’t “fit” as well melodically to my ears in this more orchestrated section just after the intro, though I’m far from thoroughly reliable on pitch. Later, it all seems to fit fine.

I like the way you’ve set the vocals into the mix. They feel as if they belong where they are placed.

That horn line is sublime. A really attractive, loping solo in just the right place.

The keybord work is gentle and just right. I was concerned at one point you’d over-do the instrumentation, but you resist.

The extro to fx ‘pella is good, but the snip at the very end in the vocal extro is a bit abrupt.

A solid, interesting mix. The noise in the intro might restring just a bit, though I like it generally, and the second half of the song is really the stronger bit.

Not 100% even, but 100% enjoyable.

Thank you very much for your review. I am relatively new to remixing and this is only my third attempt at remixing other people’s music.

Another reviewer mentioned something along the same lines, advising me to rethink some of my chords. To be honest, it is something that has gone unnoticed by me, but I have to admit that I probably might not have the best feeling for what fits well and what doesn’t.

Only just. ;-) I was thinking about adding some instrumentation, because it did sound a bit dull, but that was probably due to the mix at the time.

That was intentional, to mask my inability to come up with something that would fit to the vocal part at the very end.

Again, thank you for taking the time to listen to it and write this extensive review. Much appreciated.

I think this great, really, shows a lot of personality and promise. There’s quite a few unexpected choices some I didn’t get (probably my problem) but some were very welcome indeed. Keep mixing!

Really sumptuous.. You bring to this song an emotional dimension which fits so in perfection with her voice.

Thank you very much for your nice comment. Her voice is very inspiring, but I can’t guarantee that I will do her voice justice on other remixes.
