Welcome Simon, I see this is your first mix. Overall I like it, it has melody and placement with the vocals is generally very good. Gating is a technique I personally really like, so there’s browny points there. How about giving the bass drum a little more punch (or volume)? It would give the track a little more drive. Sometimes also the transition between verse and chorus sections may need a little more impact. These are just my personal suggestions, clearly all of our tastes our different and in general, your track is a great starter mix. Keep it up. (ps gating vocals is also a great technique :o)

Thnx for your kind words, yep my first entry on ccMixter, been in this biz a long time tho :)
Some nice stuff here to remix, usually i rely heavily on the bass drum but was feeling i should take it back for a more commercial addience.
Gating is a nice tool and so much easier then it used to be rigging up manually like i used to do 10 years ago.
My album is out and will be releasing remix packs on this, so feel free to take a listen and see if there is anything you like the sound of shout me, thnx mate

Thanks Remaxim,
Looks like a nice friendly community here, glad to be a part of it.
And a great standard of music around here too.
I am searching for remixers for these packs of my album, probably not a bad place to start looking around here!
