The mood and emotion packed into this track is tangible, you established a suitable backing soundscape for the pell.

I have to say, the way you treated the pell, the effect you put on the voice, kind of gets muddled with the mix, I can’t differentiate the voice from the music at times.

Kaer Trouz has a very sultry yet dignified voice, powerful but with flashes of vulnerability in her tones. I think you should effect her voice in a way where it is altered, but not to a point where you can’t appreciate her voice or make out what she is saying.

Again, I dig what you are doing here, you set a great mood of melancholy with your mix, I just wasn’t vibing on how the pell was treated. I just think it would benefit from a different effect.

Clarence, read this a while ago. Thanks for the feedback. I had forwarded a mix to Kaer and added some synth sounds and whatnot since, hoping to flesh out the empty spaces and make it more than a percussive backing. I basically used extensive reverb and stereo echo on the voice. When I’ve listened on my computer speakers, the voice was ever-present, but apparently that somehow doesn’t translate to the final mix. Perhaps mastering would change that aspect. Again thank for the ideas as this was my first remix, and probably like everyone else here, I wanted it to be great. Here’s to the next, currently in progress.
