sexy (sorry Ciggi, i got here first) duet with a nice breezy tropical feel. and PRO music & production. loved the male vocal thru the Barry White VST. very good track.

Thanks Panu, though I’d much rather hear the word sexy from Ciggi rather than you. Her legs are much better than yours I suspect.
Cheers dood :-)

Thanks, Scomberoonie. Panu’s legs are longer but he won’t shave them.

I like this very much. My only hang-up is that the grayheart vocals are sometimes a bit clippy.

I love the match-up though - the combination of instrumentals and vocals is bang on.

Thanks Colab for the review!
The original vocal was quite clippy and in a narrow band so I tried not to flatten it out too much in case I lost grayhartgrays innocence and vulnerability that seemed to poke me in the eye the first time I heard the pella.
She has a great voice.
Fun tinkling the ivories though.

I can’t seem to find the right words…oh yeah, groovy! Good arrangement of source material. Liked hearing you in there too!

Thanks S!
Pretty easy not to go too wrong with Loveshadow directing the traffic.
My little bit, just practicing my Barry White for my next upload.

Mmmm … this is gorgeous, Scombers. Like having hot fudge sauce flowing down over you (or me, rather). And all the vocals sound great. The whole mix is simply very erotic. That’s my new word, since somebody’s implying I over-use another. I’m going to download this now and enjoy it again while I’m drying the dishes. Lovely. xx

Thanks Cig, my experience with hot fudge sauce flowing down my body hasn’t been all that positive - Either too hot (burns) or too cold to remain viscous (an unintentional wax job).
Much rather hear sexy from you than Panu any day.
Glad I’ve distracted you from your domestic endevours!

cool. It seemed to me that I had already heard that vibe, in fact it is LS’s! 85 must be my heartbeat, since I always like songs at this speed. Your own add on to the voice might benefit some compression, though. good track.

Thanks Carosone :)
Your right about 85 bpm.!
Thanks for the tip on my vox.

Well yes it’s Boz Scaggs in a cork hat but I think the Barry White suggestion is a great one. So get that repitch tool out loosen the khaki’s and take it down to the floor.

Great use of LS’s mix and the Master must be out there somewhere smiling down on you!

heh, i just wanted to mention that Boz Scaggs served me a beer once in his bar (Slims in San Francisco).

Then years later, he came into a shop I worked in with his son and returned a jacket he bought. Since he’d worn it, we couldn’t resell it so I kept it. :)

really nice guy and down to earth.

The original pella is still great and perfectly produced as we all know thta LS does this very pro. But your version has sort of charme, it is not “perfect” but it has a special charme when combining two new vocals.

Love it!

Thanks Joe, you have probably picked up what makes me upload so much.
5 years ago, I was a perfectionist and nothing was ever “finished”. Since then I’ve learnt that I get more of a kick out of carving a shape rather than finishing it off with fine grade paper.
Thanks dood!

Very nice Mr. Scomb’s. It’s always kinda nice when the source material is not totally buried. The fingerprints of Mr. Shadow are not yet smudged here so nice touch. Very nice vox too from you. You don’t sound like a little guy when you sing, do you? You have a nice range showing here :-).

Finally it’s great of you to pick up grayheartgray’s upload. She’s got a really nice voice.

I’ve got (ahem) a lot of catching up to do on your stuff :-).

Beginning my slow (but very worthwhile) slog to catch up with the vast Scomberverse.. Really like the ivory-tickling, and your overall approach to a great new voice. Oh, and your singing’s always a treat, too! ;-)

Thanks Duckett, you know I owe you one for inspiring me last year to start singing on this site instead of in the shower (with your track Wired but disconnected). God help us all.
I find ccm an endless source of inspiration and new surprises, like grayhartgray.
Thanks for the review :)
