An expertly crafted oddity so good I have to stop listening to other uploads for a bit to give it a chance to stick in my head.

And there’s the gunshot to kill me. I love the use of the chicken. That’s awesome.

Harmonica and a banjo plunking away, while you put down the blues over top of it… it may be a little odd, but definitely up my alley.

Now we’re in what sounds like a harpsichord bit with a pigeon cooing over top of it… and then back into the strange blues groove, with what sounds like blown bottles and someone playing a saw faintly in the background.

Harpsichords, bottles, chickens, and a car engine that won’t turn over.

You’re pretty damn talented.

well thank you, admiral! You get the picture - sort of Western mountain hillbilly. And the car hasn’t turned over in some time.

I’ll upload those little off-beat oddities once I get a little time to fuss with uploads (maybe when the server here is less busy!) of banjo, goofy vocals, Indian flute and harmonica.

Yeah, this is great. Like our very own Run C&W. Cool tune, CSM.

Sort of like Captain Beefheart if he were less beef and more heart. :)

so far left it’s the “other left”! I’m so glad you liked it. There was a chance you’d just say “too weird” and that would be it.

I remember commenting with some surprise and great admiration about your musical influences and background that somehow seemed to greatly overlap mine.

Well, all of that to try to explain why this track is precisely up my alley.

(By the way, at the end of that same alley Doc Smithers is cooking up a hell of a storm and I’ve got a bucket of shrimp saved for you. Better hurry now, y’hear?)

Thank you! somehow I was so excited to upload I missed the special submit button on the upload page. DOH! This secret mixter was very inspiring and has introduced me to a great source for backing tracks.

I too listened a couple of times relishing the variety of tones from the Lynchian blues to the chicken, the bells and banjo. Definitely a smile-maker!
