a journey into the core of someone’s heart…lovely, tender evocation…and that plaintive musical backing is really quite something.

Nice intro, with that piano and synth sound. The vocals go well with the melody you’ve written.

The little backing synth atmospherics fit well enough, but they perhaps would be more effective if they were something more of a counterpoint than a complement to the piano.

I like that you have lots of silence in this one, which allows the voice to come through. I also like the way that the vocals are mixed so that every word stands out, giving the appropriate lyrical “punch”. I think to myself that perhaps the piano should be “up” in the mix slightly, but it works very well as it is.

I like that little bit of guitar that you add beginning at 3:30.

I’d like to hear something in the middle of this one which breaks up the action, such as perhaps a reiteration of the melody done by the guitar by way of a simple solo.

This was a solid, straightforward mix that sets off well with the vocals.

I as well, liked this treatment,, you mixed the vocals up pretty high and didn’t use many FX, so you can hear all the swallows and flaws and gasps.
I really like the instrumentation, but I am having trouble connecting it to a small, finger-sized sausage flavoured with sage & thyme, wrapped in streaky bacon!
Only the British would wrap a fatty sausage in fatty bacon.
