Listening to this a few times… I think it gets too messy towards the end. The original jazzy chords are out of synch with the piano samples… in a not-on-purpose way (in my op). It just doesn’t end with the same inspiration that it starts with… maybe there isn’t enough of a structural (melodic or rhythmic) development… eh, just wanted to give some constructive crit… :)

thanks for the kind reviews everybody. i didn’t have enough time to give this track the full treatment unfortunetly, but i think it came out alright. a couple factors were at play here: i just learned about the contest on saturday, and throughout most of sunday my power kept going off and on. i got to a point on sunday where i was just praying i could export the track and upload it before the contest ended.. would’ve loved to spend a few more hours on the last part.

Well then, considering the circumstances, it’s pretty damn good! I know how frustrating it is to lose work from power outages! Do you live in California or something?

thanks for the kind re-re-review! :) luckily enron doesn’t control my power switch, although it felt like it that day. i live in phoenix in a new home development on the outskirts of town, and we were in ‘monsoon season’ (our rainy season), so it had gone off and on pretty regularly for the past week or two. that day was especially bad, it probably went off and on about 8 times. i don’t think i’ve been that frustrated in a long time… :) as a computer professional and electronic musician, if the power went out permanently, i’d be the most useless human on this planet.

Love it. Not too glitchy for me! I love the complexity. Nice chords.
