in a word: Wow! But I can’t stop there…this was like being down by the Quay with some funky old sailor spilling his lost dreams…the guitar backup excellent…a really nice tribute to Mr. P.C. too!

Love the guitar and harmonica. Great feeling on this track. *meow*

You always make vocals sound natural and live in your mixes. I feel it brings out an extra level of emotion in the music. Enjoyed as always.

(I wrote a review for this before, I wonder what upload it actually landed on lol - here’s as best as I can recall what I said:)

I love how this track (like so many of yours) sounds effortless and ‘simple’ when in fact there is a world of subtly and nuance going on.

If that’s you on gtr and harp I think you need to be uploading some samples ;)

Yes that’s me, but faking it with my keyboard’s samples - if you thought it was live, I’m flattered ;)

Theres so many nice things going on, nice little switches, all match the vocals perfectly to create a wonderful scene. I’m seeing the same person as Anchor.

I think you have a real touch and sensitivity around a lyric that instinctively complements the vocal you are working with.

Are rare quality in these days of slash/burn and experiment.

Yipes! As a known “experimenter”, I hope I’m at least not also heedlessly destroying valuable old-growth remixing ;-)

I have to agree with everybody else, very natural-sounding and complementary.

thanks d., and let me reassure you, at least from my point of view, of the ecological soundness of your remixing experiments ;)

I think you flatter me too much to call me one of the greats of anything! But, thank you for the tribute nonetheless. Bourbon-soaked, smoke hanging like a low fog, 2am with mists rolling in outside. Or, I get the same impression as Anchor and others. Such a skillful mix with such a soulful touch is the truest flattery and I sincerely thank you.

Wow, that_s terrificaly beautiful. This guitar and the light nasal vocals really work together. Amazing harp too. Sounds like a tune from a soundtrack,….maybe they forgot to put it on the “Oh brother, wher are thou” album?
It would be worth being placed there.
