I think I’m gonna need an insulin shot :-)
glad you took the bait; very beautiful indeed. Will you leave some bait behind from this, too?

what sort of bait are you looking for? Piano? String parts?

It’s like waking up on christmas morning and finding Santas left you more than you expected.

When i was doing the unplugged version i kept thinking it was like the original Moon River with Audrey Hepburn and was tempted to do what that does i.e Start with a simple guitar voice arrangement and swell into full orchestra.

I don’t have the skill to bring that off properly but i thought i know a man who does.

It really was not bait but i am oh so glad you put your magic to it.

I kept searching for that extended chord pattern you talk of and the Fma7 and Bm7 bring that a little. But you never cease to amaze me at what you can do and can bring to a handfull of chords.

Sounds fab . Total respect as always.

Thanks Shadow and Meister. But I actually uploaded the wrong mix! The correct mix isn’t that different but I altered some of the vocal melody to fit the arrangement a little better. Hopefully ccMixter will let me replace the current mix with the correct one. : )

Wail, it’s like I told LS, he shoulda put that there creamy-dreamy strings and stuff on it to begin with. Only now I’m glad he didn’t. Cause he’s right (as usual, the bastard) yor the man fer the job. Beeeeautiful Mr. Lasswell. May I call you Mr Lasswell? I don’t mean on the phone or nothin I just mean as a name.

I saw this was up last night before I went to bed but intentionally did not listen to it so I could save it for this morning. I’m glad I did. What an utterly beautiful way to start my day.

I don’t know what else to say except that the vocals on this are unusually clear. I often find it hard to understand the lyrics with cg mixes and on this one I understand every word perfectly. Also you have left so much of the original mix intact. It’s a special skill to show respect for one work yet make it your own. Thanks to all involved.

In response to the prior comments left… Put everything up if you can, and I only wish my reject mixes sounded as good as this :-)!
