Thank you! I used wav and maxed out the bit depth/sample rate on my recording device just to try it out. (I had a quite low input level though, but I normalized the track in Audacity which increased the volume quite a bit. Is it better to have a higher input level from the beginning, or does it matter?) And I really tried to nail the song too, had to try several times. Still not perfect but good enough I think.

it’s good to experiment but the way you did it results in a low noise/minimally distorted signal… . and it sounds musical and realistic/ .

I personally prefer recording guitar signals with high input signals, cause it`s easier to mix the intensity down. When recording with low input it`s hard to mix the intensity up without causing noisy sounds… :)
