ouch that sounds painful!

I mean what happens to the heroine, not the remix! (did I have you worried for a minute?) :-)

I like the FX on your voice — still clear but adding atmosphere. And I’m sure you’ll get requests for the poem as a separate upload. I’m not a qualified critic for poetry — all I can say that this one captured my imagination in that it presents a tangible enough imagery to play the scene out in my head, yet it also left lots of room for filling in underlying meaning and metaphors.

Probably my favorite poem of yours, yet. And a winning choice of backing music. Very nice end result!

Yea, happily when I had the dream one of the senses that was not engaged was touch ;-).

I appreciate what you said about the poem because I have always been uneasy about putting my less pretty and comfortable imagery to paper. As with a lot of growth, one sometimes needs to get outside one’s comfort zone :-).

Neurowaxx’s piece is a real serious gem. I was beside myself when it turned up in my search for something, er, “dark.” Hopefully, pulling it out into the light in a remix will get it some more takers :-).

Good work Essesq -
evocative images - words of experience…there is no escape from the human condition - something we all must face.
Neurowaxx music always has that certain something….

Your straightforward delivery somehow accentuates the images of torture and pain. I am reminded briefly of Hester Pryne, and am left with the question — what did Bella do to deserve such punishment?

The pairing of your recitation with this particular track is inspired, and the the treatment of your voice is fabuloso and quite effective. Thanks!

Well SackJo, no artist worth his or her salt would ever answer a question like that :-). Every bit of the work is open to interpretation by the reader/listener.

Thank you for your kind words on the production. I am having a lot of fun working with tweaking Garageband’s vocal presets (however I hate editing with it). And yes, the backing was perfect, I was thrilled to find it.

There comes a point when being creative is nothing but a good friend and that’s a lot as it provides a release to something which in itself becomes self therapeutic.

Of course to arrive there you have to become proficient enough to overcome the technical aspects of the medium you are working in order to hold a conversation , and then to deliver some thing which has a focus, direction and purpose.

Of course personally its never enough, but this will definitely do.

Are you sure you have not read the Marquis ?

Thank you. And regarding your final question…I believe I have answered that once upon a time.

We all learn to see the cinematic possibilities in things—but we rarely put our lessons to good use as you do here. The spoken word track and the backing make a wonderful short—all you need is a literal visual to go with the dream visual, and no doubt you’re a prize winner at a short film festival.

Very imaginative and alive.

Thank you for your kind words Gurdonark. Do you happen to know of a good videographer?
