Wow and wow. I really like this, the heaviness of it, the bass descension with the harmonies, the strings- nice one duckett!!!!!!A little 80s poppy poofiness thrown in too for good measure, so infectious, and this girl loves a harmonica.

Thanks KT! I’m glad you like; stupid ol’ CWMC froze TWICE on me trying to put this together… I learned my lesson. “Always save after making a change.” Grrrr.

Sorry folks, back to the music … it is really nice that people can post sketches like this and that others can see them for what they are, complete ideas but not full blown “songs” with verses, choruses and bridges, etc.

This piece has a plenty of weight to it and is actually quite intricate. The repetition of the lyric actually makes it “hookier” amd I like it a lot. Nice work Mr. D! Very funky - and at least your avatar isn’t a chicken …

Thanks, but why are you apologizing? You didn’t spam my review section, did you?
;-)
Yeah, I’m glad it’s possible to post short lil’ “snapshot” remixes like this, too. Glad you enjoyed it!

No I didn’t, I’m middle aged and married with three kids so such hobbies are not for me, the others seemed to be having a bit of fun, that’s all ;-). I’ll come back and edit my comment later.

Funky bass and harmonica!!

Who needs more than that to have a bit of fun.

This is a real toe tapper as me Gran used to say before the amputation!

Thanks RT; I’m not going to respond with the first thing that popped into my head, as I can have a dark sense of humor, and t’would be in poor taste…

Thanks J! I’d be thrilled if he did, but he’d probably just say, “Not bad, but why not try it like this?”, and proceed to improvise something on the spot that sounded ten times better ;-)

Crackin bass line, it kept my focus from start to finish, whilst the drums took care of my foot tapping. Now its just a case of waiting for my downstairs neighbor to get tapping on my front door… but it was worth it.

Thanks! As far as the neighbor goes, you can always blame it on me :D

LOL! That_s so great. It was and still is one of my biggest idols. He is a genius and my first song I heard was “yester me, yester you, yesterday”. My elder sister purchased one day a single with this tune.
You have done justice in a charmin way to a huge musician. I like it a lot!
