nice clean production on the samples, deb. my preference would be to drop volume on your spoken word so the boominess goes away. lovely piece.
stay up.

A very beautiful piece, debbizo. The words are so good I’d love to be able to read them while I listen to you saying them. xxxx

Here they are:

Backwards
(Port Noarlunga)

Unwind
unwind
to the slow
rippled wash
of the morning tide
let go
of it all
let it go
with the slide
of the sea
on hard sand

begin to feel
the sun’s warm hand
begin to feel
from the centre out
spirals of light
let them in
to the dark spaces
let them in

let them touch
the memories of this place
and our hands
touching briefly
as if
the slowing
of my heartbeat
traced our footprints
on this beach
backwards
slowly
backwards

What a great surprise - for some reason I didn’t get notified of the upload. Ah well.

I like the spoken word a lot - thank for letting me be part of it.

One nag - I think it would be easier to listen to if the vocals were centered in the mix rather than being on the left channel only.

Thanks all. I will have another go at mixing it when I can. Thanks for the lovely G minor piece.

Nice spoken word… as Colab said would be nice if the voice would be in the center of the mix. A great use of the samples….was a very good decision to use colab’s piano!
