I really enjoyed what you did here. Reminds me of the Corrs a bit. Nice production also

I really liked the production a lot! Very Very good. I would suggest to check the EQ, specially mid high frequencies. Really good remix man!

Is there any specific section, instrument or vocal where the mid EQ was either too hot or not enough or was it throughout? Also, what do you listen using? Headphones or speakers? If phones, which brand? The reason I ask is that every brand of headphones and/or speakers brings out certain tones more than others.

Note, I generally do a three phase sound test on my tracks, but this testing phase takes a couple of days. Although, I post my tracks after the first phase to get critique simply because my ears get accustomed to the tone. The first phase is checked at home on speakers and then on headphones. The second and third rounds involve listening to it on my car stereo and then on my iPod with Bose earbuds.

Each of these listening tests brings out separate issues. My car has a Bose sound system with extreme high ends and also brings out mid-lows which both can fatigue the ears. So, I usually have to re-EQ again after the car round. The Bose buds are low end heavy and I may again re-EQ the bass section to remove sonic problems after the earbuds. I can’t do the iPod test until after I get to work (I sync my iPod there).

So, I will upload the final EQ mixes after the second and third rounds. Note that some of what you may be hearing may be the lack of bass. When the bass is at the proper level, it somewhat complements the mid-high ranges. Note my bass and mid-lowends are almost always too hot or not hot enough after the first round. This is revealed in the second and third round.

I will post at least one or two updates to this tune after my final round of listening. Thanks for commenting and checkback if you want to hear the final EQ’d version.

Note, I uploaded a new EQ’d version of ‘Where I Stand’, although now I’m afraid the high end may be too hot in headphones. Sounds good on speakers, though. I need to listen to it in my car. That’ll tell the tale. Thanks for the comments.

Solid! Lots of goodie chord progressions in here.

Yes, Shannon is a very solid song writer. I’m surprised she hasn’t gotten picked up by a big label yet. She should at least put her songs up on Taxi to encourage a big name act to record one of her songs.
