Thank you!

And yes, the vocals are pretty excellent. I didn’t have to do anything to them. Just perfect as is.

Thanks for the listen and the review.

Love it. Reminds me of Joni Mitchell’s more pensive, sparse work.

Ahh - interesting reference - thank you.

Yes, I thought about adding more to this one. Figured I could build up with rhythms, other instruments, effects, … but in the end I decided not to. Glad you liked the result.

Excellent! Any chance I could get an unmastered mixdown? I’m not sure when, but I’ll feature it on colortheory.com at some point if you’re game! Just shoot me an email at colortheory@colortheory.com.

Thanks Alex. I’ve had this piano sitting in the basement for years, but after a big reno that we just finished I brought it back to life.

I have a feeling it’s going to get some heavy use from now on. :)

Thanks, AT; sure do appreciate it, because you have a heck of a good ear for piano playing. :)

Re: basement - there may be the odd skeleton or two. Could be good for making rhythms. I’ll let you know how it works out.

Hey - great to hear - glad you found it there.

He’s an absolutely amazing mastering engineer - the version here at ccM has this incredibly annoying hiss on it, but he was able to remove it completely and bring a whole new life ot the mix. I’m really happy with it, especially since it was such a quick / improvised mix in the first place. :)

Nice to get a reminder of this track - thanks!
