Bopping in your chair is a great sign. :)

Glad you liked, especially since I switched up the vocals.

Thanks for that - that’s precisely what I was trying to balance. I was a bit stressed about whether I had too many effects on the two vocal tracks, so I tried to counter with a bit more edge.

Pleased you liked. Thanks for the review.

Isn’t it fun when things end up different than what you had planned? I know I do. Great work as usual!

Thanks for that - especially the “as usual” part. Much appreciated. :)

Yeah - I thought I was going to do something based on a few uploads I had earmarked, but that fell apart quickly, so instead I found myself here. Glad you liked.

Oh this is simply lovely, Mikael. Snowflake’s voice has a lightness combined with an irresistible huskiness, and your b/t reflects those qualities and carries them along with your special and delicious subtlety of touch. xxxx

Haha - thanks. I am a heel-stomper, myself. Keeps the family awake at night when I work on music. :)

Although the bass was a lot more prominent on my other headphones when I made this. There was a very satisfying bass to the beat that I’m missing now. Hmm.

Thanks for the thumbs up though - much appreciated.

Thanks! The intro is a bit tricky before the beat enters, so I’m glad you got it.

This was another quick track that I just needed to get out of my system. I try not to argue with myself when that happens, and instead just run with it. :)

Thanks for the listen and for taking the time to leave a comment.

if you ever have more than two hours to devote to a track i’ll have to review you as ‘precious’ & somehow lacking ‘spontaneity’. i will, too.

Yeah yeah yeah. What you don’t realize is that it’s already happened.

After all, my secret mixter tracks all took at least twice that.

Smart-ass. :)

Thanks kindly, Anchor.

“Artist” borders on hyperbole, but I will happily accept “craftsman”. :)

I’d buy an album of yours without a second thought. Another suitably chilled and fresh set of shapes you’re throwing here… and who doesn’t love a bit of subtle modulated / filtered phat synth bass? - Coolio

Let’s make a trade - one of mine for one of yours, whenever they’re ready. Deal?

Thanks for the thumbs up - I always appreciate your opinion - good or bad.

I’ve listened to this a few times over the last few days. Can’t think of anything specific to write about it but I enjoy it, and that hasn’t faded.

Thanks for that. There’s not much of a deeper musical meaning to this one - it was a quick idea that made sense at the time.

Glad it still offered something after a few listens. Thanks for the review.

Thanks!

I got the idea of doing a call/answer concept, but reversed where the backing vocals sing the various phrases in advance of the lead vocals.

I also did a few EQ/reverb tweaks to make the lead vocals a bit more prominent than the harmonies.

Thanks for that - glad you liked.

Lovely track, great feel and agree with everyone above :-), especially that it’s good for the foot. Now here’s an idea which you will probably reject immediately, but i’ll through it at ya anyways: how about working a bit longer on this one, as if you were the producer of snowflakes next (or first, forgive my ignorance) album. I think that it a: will be completely worth it and b: i’d like to see what happens when you spend more then let’s say 8 or 20* hours on a track. And i’m being serious here.
* you choose

Ugh. :)

I know you’re probably right, but I just have a very hard time putting extended time into anything without losing focus and starting on something else.

I also have a serious problem with lack of imagination past a certain point - by which I mean I don’t always know what I would do next even if I did spend more time.

That’s when I could really benefit from a co-producer (hint, hint).

Thanks for the thumbs up and the comment.
