Yep, still like it a lot. I don’t think I’ll be uploading my stems as they are mostly dependent on BillRayDrums’ track and I’m not sure it’s proper to upload a rearrangement of somebody elses stems. What I should upload is the original version (the one you never heard) so people can hear just how much you’ve improved it. But I don’t think I’ll do that either, wouldn’t want to embarrass myself. Thanks again for taking this on. Great job and a pleasure.

A very interesting jazz number. They provoked the saxophone player in me. I’ll download the song and to make a dialogue. If it is good I will send you the track. You can then install warmly …. Jürgen

I’m glad you said “jazz”, because that’s what Speck had originally intended before I slowed it down and started changing things. Very nice to hear that it inspires you. That’s one of the best sort of compliments to get. |

A typical 1+1=3 collaboration. On this track you bring the best of the both of you and the result is bigger than the both of you. I think this is just fantastic.

Thank you much. It’s very nice to hear you say that you can hear both of us in here - I was quite concerned that I had sort of erased Speck with all my tweaking. Thanks for the listen and for leaving a comment. I know this isn’t very mainstream, so I very much appreciate it. |

okay, i’d ed pic this immediately. here you’ve got arguably two of the best remixers anywhere at molding raw sound into a masterpiece, time after time. and a big group hug to Bill Ray for keepin’ everybody from slippin’ into 11/4.

A PM ed-pick means a whole heck of a lot. Thanks for the support. As I mentioned to Per above this is hardly mainstream, so it means something extra to have the thumbs up. |

(Roland Kirk)Quote: panu moon…and a big group hug to Bill Ray… I second that. I’m a little surprised more people aren’t taking advantage of his uploads. There are so many and they are so good.

I didn’t get notified of this one (by my secret investigators) - don’t know why not. Thank goodness I didn’t miss it because it’s brilliant. I agree with Sir P: ed pick material. Outstanding result of an enjoyable collaboration. One of the best things in life. xxxx

Hmm. Perhaps it happened because I didn’t publish it immediately when I uploaded it (I wanted to upload the stems first). Either way - thank you kindly - you continue to be a terrific supporter through the many musical twists and turns. :) Really glad you managed to track this down. |

abstract yet accessible - richly contoured - and imminently enjoyable.
Just a super enticing mood to the whole thing. Kind of a Velveteen-Rabbit-meets-Peter-Gun vibe……. excellent work sir. |

I think this was great for both of us - Speck provides a much needed edge and some very interesting musical twists which I think were complemented by the bass and rhodes. And of course the drums that Speck put together using the BillRay upload are just an amazing glue for this. Thanks for the comment and the Velveteen Rabbit reference. |

Hi, Colab! I’ve listened your tracks The sound - Production and mastering is fantastic. May be it’s not just a kind of music for me, but my sister loves it! She said: wow! it’s very good for listening - in a deep night! ( You must know she loves jazz/experimental and she’s very, very exacting :)

Thank you for that - that’s very, very nice to read! Speck created the original track with the jazz drums by BillRayDrums - and then I took it and added the bass and rhodes and did the final mixing. Say thanks to your sister for the kind words! |

Really great to have you say that - thanks for the support. Re: collaborations - I continue to be amazed at just how nice people are here and how easy it is to do this type of thing here. Maybe it’s something in the water. Great to see you here again and thanks for finding this track. |

I love the speck/colab combo — it’s delicioius — with bits of glitch and class.
