really nice! i’m really digging the panning effect you throw in there just short of halfway in. also, the strings are a terrific touch. everything is executed meticulously, and the package is a listening delight. funny how much your arrangement reminds me of shannon’s “we are in love”. i should mash them up… :)

Thanks. I was really worried this morning about how it would come out, because I put the finishing touches on it after midnight, half in the bag - so it could have gone either way. :) Re: strings - thanks - I’m sort of regretting now that I didn’t use them more in this track, but I wanted to build up the track. Hmm. |

I’m a good kid you’re a great creator of fine music and my lunch is ready.
Cannot ask for a lot more! At least not until later! |

Cannot ask for a lot more! At least not until later! Good kid? Is that what I said earlier? Surely I must have meant “OK”. Thanks for stopping by. Much appreciated. |

Come now - I’m sure if you tried really hard you could end up not liking it. :) Thanks for that though - it means a lot coming from you. |

I like this very much. It makes me think of a Sunday morning, sitting on my couch, drinking my coffee, petting my cat. Basically laid back and good. Definitely one of the easiest listens to my own voice I’ve had in awhile.

Hahah - thanks. :) My versions of “Touch” and “Gros bon ange” were both a bit on the dark side, so I had thought for a while that I should do something more uplifting. But I hadn’t planned for it to be this positive. Funny to see where a bottle of sparkling wine and a beautiful voice can take you. :) Thanks for leaving a review - much appreciated. |

I reckon that leaving a review is my way to show my appreciation for the mix. :D
And yes, sparkling wine does tend to make the world sparkle back. Or maybe I just over-drink….hm… |

Can I recommend you the next weapon? Nice - thanks. I like red Riojas and enjoy them a lot - but I have to admit I knew nothing about whites before. Will definitely look into it - thanks! Oh - and thanks for the “ |

Had to look up “Prosecco”. Learned that it’s a “crisp sparkling white wine with a slightly bitter aftertaste”… hmm, sounds like describing the song! By “bitter aftertaste” I mean the meaning of the lyrics. Not the singer nor the song. :)

Very good - I rather like that. Both as a description for the wine and for the contrast between the music and the lyrics. :) Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. |

Sweetness with just the right tinge of sharpness- a brilliant reading of the pella, and impossible-to-resist arrangement!

Thanks - nicely said. Very much appreciate the comment about reading the pella, because I wanted to do something different time time around. Thanks for leaving a comment. |

You always have an incredible sound of “club”. Warm, sweet, cool..
Great mix. I love this “slide guitar”, behind… |

Great mix. I love this “slide guitar”, behind… Thanks for that. I think I was starting to second-guess this track, so I’m very glad to get the positive feedback. :) Re: slide guitar - I’ve fallen in love with this sound and will probably use it on every track from now on until it drives me (and everyone else) absolutely nuts. :) |

So, you are going Burt Bacharach?;-)
Sort of ease summer feeling song. Very nice executed with that epiano riff and all the decent details. Another hcp-mix (high class premium mix)! It seems Jacinda is singing for you and you do all her composition work. A dream team I would say!! |

Thanks again! Yes - summery - after a few dark and moody tracks I wanted to do something more uplifting (or people would start thinking that Jacinda’s vocals make me depressed!) :) Thanks for your comment. |

Nice Colab.
The vocals are bit sharp in tone against your warm sound bed for me but i like the innocence of it all. If only lifes little struggles were really like that.:-) |

The vocals are bit sharp in tone against your warm sound bed for me but i like the innocence of it all. Ahh yes. Thank you very much for your support. I agree with you re: the sharpness of the vocals - that’s one area I just haven’t developed enough expertise in yet. I am aware of it each time - but find that when I try to address it I end up shaving off too much of the higher frequencies - and rather than “warmth” I get “mud”. :) |

Well, I tried really hard, and it’s true - impossible not to like. Now I gotta check out the darker ones of which you speak.

Hey now - don’t try that hard not to like it next time. :) Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. Much appreciated. Oh, and if you go digging around for old stuff I take absolutely no responsibility for what you may find. |
